"I had sales training, once . . ."

We hear this offered as a polite dismissal. We respectfully dispute the dismissal with a few examples of things done once which need to be done again. You have never heard "I took a shower once, why do I need another one?" or "I had a hair cut once, why do I need another one?" have you?
