Sales leads to entrepreneurship. - What are you selling? Who are you selling to? - People are emotional and irrational. - He had no strategy when he was making cold calls. - Strategic partners give you leverage. - Trust was baked into the deal when he created a strategic partnership. - 90% of business is sales, so salespeople make great entrepreneurs. - Went out on his own in 2016. - High-paying jobs can make you too comfortable to go out on your own. - The corporate machine wants to scare you into thinking you can't go out on your own. - His employer came after him for going out on his own. - Live your life. Try your best. Let bygones be bygones. - He put a date on his calendar to leave. - Websites don't matter. Your business card doesn't matter. Your CRM doesn't matter. All that matters is talking to people you can help and serve. - He left on good terms, but they still came after him pretty hard. - You have to plan to deal with human emotions. - Work hard.
